Bank account

Both my wife and I work in my family. And I transfer part of my salary to a bank account for a living every month. Recently my wife requested me to increase the amount of money. She seems to feel that she pays much money for a living and for children. From my point of view, it doesn’t matter who pays because the money in my bank account is common asset for both I and y wife. I can’t understand at all.
